There are numerous midwest indoor water parks due, in part, to the long, cold winters we experience here. An indoor water park resort or hotel is the perfect escape from the dreary cold, and it is made even better when there is a spa or a ski resort at the same location. At this point, nearly every midwest state has at least one indoor water park resort or hotel, with Wisconsin (mainly the Wisconsin Dells), Minnesota, and Michigan leading the pack. If you live in the midwest - you have many indoor waterpark choices. If you would like to make a true vacation out of it, and can spend a day driving, your options increase significantly.

Michigan Indoor Water Parks and Hotels Includes the very popular Great Wolf Lodge in Traverse City, the new Avalanche Bay in Boyne, MI, and several hotels with indoor water parks. Wisconsin Dells Indoor Water Parks and Hotels Aaah, the Capital of Indoor Water Parks! Here you will find numerous indoor water park hotels and resorts located in the vicinity of the Wisconsin Dells. There are several very large resorts as well a few smaller, less expensive hotel indoor water parks. Wisconsin Indoor Water Parks and Hotels There are many other very nice indoor water park resorts located outside the Wisconsin Dells area including the Blue Harbor Resort in Sheboygan, Paradise Landing in Milwaukee, and Grand Geneva Resort located on the shores of the beautiful Lake Geneva. Minnesota Indoor Water Parks and Hotels Includes the large Grand Rios Indoor Water Park Resort in Brooklyn Park, MN, the 7 Clans Casino/Hotel and Waterpark Resort in Thief River Falls, MN, which has, as you may have guessed, a casino, and several small to medium sized indoor water parks located within hotels. Ohio Indoor Water Parks and Hotels 2 Sandusky indoor water parks including another in the Great Wolf Lodge franchise, and Cedar Point's own Castaway Bay. Several others are under construction. Illinois Indoor Water Parks and Hotels includes the WaterWorks in Schaumburg, IL, the Grand Bear Lodge in Utica, IL opening spring 2005 and the large Majestic Spring Resort opening October, 2006. Indiana Indoor Water Parks and Hotels Holiday Inn's Caribbean Cove is currently the only indoor water park in the state of Indiana, with the exception of a couple of small community centers with water slides. Iowa Indoor Water Parks and Hotels Includes the Grand Harbor Indoor Water Park and Resort in Dubuque, IA, and the Holiday Inn Wasserbahn Waterpark Resort in Amana Colonies, IA. North Dakota Indoor Water Parks and Hotels No grand resorts here as of yet, but there are 3 modest-sized indoor water parks located within the Sleep Inn & Suites in Minot, ND, the Best Western Ramkota Hotel in Bismarck, ND, and the Ramada Plaze Suites in Fargo, ND. South Dakota Indoor Water Parks Includes 2 hotels with indoor water parks: Ramada Inn & Suites in Sioux Falls, SD, Holiday Inn Express Suites in Aberdeen, SD. Nebraska Indoor Water Parks and Hotels We are aware of one hotel in Nebraska with a waterslide and mushroom waterfall. Please let us know if there are others we have not identified.
