You won't find many Illinois indoor water parks right now, but sit tight; there are several in development or in the planning stages.
Spring, 2005 will see the opening of Illinois' first Indoor Water Park Resort, Grizzly Jack's Grand Bear Lodge at Starved Rock in Utica. Fox Lake and Gurnee, IL will be close behind with indoor water park resorts opening in 2006.
Expect to see several major hotel chains begin renovating their swimming pool area to include additional water attractions, such as a water slide. At this time, though, Illinois has just two indoor water park hotels - Country Inn & Suites by Carlson in Galena, and the Best Western Clock Tower Resort in Rockford.
Directory of Illinois Indoor Water Parks

Grand Bear Lodge at Starved Rock - Utica
Indoor Water Park Resort. This 24,000 sq. ft. indoor water park resort features a wave pool, water slides, lazy river, hot tub, and kiddie pool with interactive play toys.
